How to prepair the cartridge

To start using the R4 Revolution must learn how to use an appropriate manner, and for that we must perform some preliminary steps, which are very simple, but it is important follow to the letter for the proper functioning of the cartridge.

The first thing we should do is put the micro SD memory in the reader reports (that comes bundled in the box R4) and place the reader into the USB port on the computer you are going to use to make the copy of the files.

Once the operating system detects the reader, we will open "removable drive", bone, the device just connect.

In it we must copy the files wich are in the folder "System v 1.08" which comes in the mini CD (1.08 number may vary depending on the version of mini CD accompanying the cartridge) or download the latest firmware update entering in the official site (if you do not understand where to download the firmware on the official site, please go to our homepage and use the download button provided in this place). Those files and folders, which are contained in the dossier System v 1.08 "(if we use the mini CD) or the zip (if we downloaded) and we should copy are as follows: "_system_" and "moonshl", which are folders and "_DS_MENU" and "_DS_MSHL.NDS", which are files.

But attention should not be put in any other folder from our memory, ie 4 these files are copied as they are and they are sticks in the memory micro SD. If we put in some folder on the files into a subdirectory, installing firmware does not work.

It is always advisable to use some firmware downloaded or the official site or our site rather than provided by the mini CD because it is very likely to have been launched new firmware versions after the mini CD has been recorded, and therefore may be outdated.

Note: depending the firmware version, the names of the files can be modified.
