R4 Team stopped the R4 production

Unfortunately this is a story not too good for holders of cartridges R4, who had intended to buy one soon and for us since r4-revolution.com. The development team of R4 Revolution has ceased to have cartridges from the last days of July and there is no indication that production will resume or having in mind the launch of a new device for the DS.

This news may not be too surprised that being a long time since (April this year) the R4 Team did not offer support for firmware updates. Furthermore the increasing pressure by Nintendo for companies developing flash carts left predicting an uncertain future for the R4DS. Anyway has not yet been confirmed whether the SEC production by the R4 Team is due to the influence of Nintendo or that the features of R4 had been overtaken by other products, especially the ability to read memoirs greater than 2GB.

It is very important to note that currently is quite unlikely that any seller owns stock R4 original cartridges. Many merchants are taking advantage of this situation by offering clones (counterfeits) cartridge R4 as if they were originals R4 arguing that still have stock.
